To get the highest potential performance with your overclock, wait for the Gigabyte 8INXP motherboard. It should be available late Dec 2002 /Early Jan 2003. Pair it with two OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Latency (EL) memory modules and you're all set.
OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Latency memory module reviews...
Completely agree about their past. Maybe through all the criticism they've devoted themselves to quality. Doesn't happen much in the industry. But, i think this time it did. Cheers!
I wanted to choose at least DDR400 memory because down the road it will allow for a future upgrade to 800MHz QDR FSB Prescott processor. The memory bandwidth requirement for a 800MHz QDR FSB processor is 6.4GB/s. That can only be supplied by a motherboard capable of Dual-Channel DDR400 and...
Hello CaptnKirk. I never recommended OCZ until they released this new OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Latency Memory. When I saw the reviews I was simply amazed! Here are two reviews:

For a 3.06GHz P4 setup I wouldn't go with anything other than the Gigabyte 8INXP. My recommendation:
Gigabyte 8INXP motherboard (available Late Dec 2002/ Early Jan 2003)
Intel Pentium4 3.06GHz Processor Retail
Two OCZ 512MB PC3500 Enhanced Latency (EL) memory modules
Enermax EG465P-VE(FMA) 431W...
Hello again. Notice they said "certain overclocked FSB speeds." Did you read the PCI bus speed for FSB speeds around 200MHz (400MHz DDR)? I don't think you can read the PCI bus that way. You need a PC Geiger PCI bandwidth monitor - it cost $$$.
Anandtech asks about PCI Lock on Leadtek K7NCR18D:
"Leadtek has finally gotten back to us and, according to them, their K7NCR18D does not include a PCI bus lock at 33MHz, and therefore the PCI bus will be overclocked at certain overclocked FSB speeds."
The Asus A7n8X deluxe is the best no doubt. It still is not clear whether the Epox 8RDA+ keeps the PCI bus frequency at 33MHz when running at a 400MHz DDR FSB - important for a probable future 400MHz DDR FSB Barton Processor upgrade. As of now, the only AMD Athlon board I recommend is the Asus...
Hello.
Enermax EG465P-VE(FMA) 431 Power Supply $91
Albatron TI4280P Graphics Card $156
Western Digital 80GB Special Edition Hard Drive$115
Two OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Latency (EL) memory modules $220
Use at least DDR400 memory in order to be better prepaired for a probable 400MHz DDR FSB Barton...
I'm aware that OCZ has had its' problems in the past but isn't also possible that they have engineered something good. Some companies have one stellar product but the rest of their stuff is junk. I have yet to see a bad comment made with respect to OCZ PC3500 Enhanced Latency memory, only bad...
