Some American said, "You can fool somebody but you can't fool everybody forever." The fact that Intel meekly paid fines levied by EU and $1.5B to AMD speaks for irself.

Bulldozer ES benchmark is out!

Another possibility is that AMD has to take care of Llano and Server Bulldozer orders. They don't want to make the same mistake of Brazos undersupply.

[BTW, why does intel never get any flack for being so far behind on standards, image quality, and performance while NV and AMD have to push the boundries to be considered successful?? How come intel doesn't get any flack for not supporting dx11 or OpenCL on GPU, and reviewers turn a blind eye...

Does 'extreme' o'clocking serve a major purpose at this point?

Something to consider in your Intel vs AMD discussions

Intel vs AMD systems on reliability/longevity

What is your oldest working cpu

I'm working with an AMD 4800, a Turion (~1.7ghz) in a Dell laptop and an Intel Pentium (~1.9ghz) in an IBM Thinkpad. I guess the 4800 is probably the oldest. It has been running 24/7 for more than 2 years. Got abused the most.
