Can i put two 8gb ram sticks in a thinkpad t410?

I have 2 x 8 GB sticks in my T420. To get at one of the slots you have to remove the keyboard.

Looking at ASUS H97M-Plus and Gigabyte GA-H97M D3H. Both have almost identical features. Have built systems using ASUS before but never Gigabyte. $20 difference in price not a deal breaker. Thoughts?

PSU for NAS Build

Received noted mobo, memory and g360 psu today. Waiting on a couple of other components and start to gut Sonata case and rebuild. Have decided to use FreeNas as OS with ZFS raid. Ultimately looking at 5 hdd's for system. Probable start with 3 and see what storage requiements look like after...

Interesting, when the external DVD is attached, after re-boot or restart, the system finds both the external drive and the one in the modular bay. Left a disk in modular drive (non-bootable) and restarted system. DVD drive not present. Hmm?

Haven't looked at the event viewer. Not sure what I would be looking for. Any ideas? I do have an external USB DVD drive. I'll see what happens when I attach that and reboot.

John, tried running the firmware update and it told me that my drive had the latest firmware already. Thanks for the suggestion.
