a lot of features the P35 northbridge has been overlooked by mobo manufacturers
the P35 has native Gigabit ethernet but everyone uses marvell external controllers
It has pci-e 2.0 but no one uses it
I heard it can split pcie lanes into dual 8x but again everyone has decided to use 16x...
^^ thats a good point
he cud just buy a cheap 1080p samsung easy
I'd suggest u ask which model those 50 inch tvs are
If they turn out to be good,go for it
3 TVS>1
But this whole story seems fishy(no offense intended)
ATM don't bother with ddr3
the only decent one i've seen is the kingston ddr3-133 @ 7-7-7-21 timings which just abt matches ddr2-800 @ 3-3-3-8
Go 2 x 1 GB of DDR2-800 with cas 3
it cud be true
cause with every driver release there were gains in performance
and xbits reviews shows the HD 2900 xt beating the GTX occasionally or matching it
while staying ahead of the 8800 GTS cards
i think power consumption will decrease once intel releases larabee
its architecture is completely different from whats there now and its supposed to be 65nm right?
also now that AMD has taken over ATI,power consumption shud go down(since anything other than that wud be against AMD's...
overclock ur cpu a bit and be done with it till Q1 2008
And if u ever upgrade to vista get another 2 gigs for 4gb in total
Performance boost from ur current rig to C2D in july will be minimal
for now buy a core 2 duo E4300 and an ASUS P5K Deluxe
Also look into the geforce 8800 GTS 640mb or the radeon HD 2900 xt
And on or after july 22nd or l8r get urself a quad core intel core 2 quad Q6600 for about $266
The E4300 will act as an interim CPU
i hope it will or atleast pull even with penryn
i dont want intel to succeed to much nor do i want AMD to go down
Us consumers need competition to get decent prices
AMD for all we know might be sand bagging, but if they can bring out a killer chip, then the race is on,although intel will...
the HD 2900 xt in xbits review does quiet good(the wonders of drivers)
It performs on par or better than the 8800 GTS cards most of the time and in some cases pulls ahead of the 8800 GTX
But some games are massively bought down by drivers
And sapphire said they plan to release the HD 2900...
so on the current platform, barcelona scales with increase in cores well enough but not as much as expected
But that shud be fixed when they release socket G?
@nemesis1-Why do u sound so eager to see AMD go down?
If anything we shud hope AMD comes back stronger then ever, its after thanks to them we have core based processors and even nehalem at the end of the tunnel, and if they go down, intel and nvidia won't have competitors and we'll get...
