CD drives not recognized

The boot drive is SATA. The mobo has 6 sata ports and 4 drives are connected, two ports are not connected to anything. Those 4 drives are recognized and working. I have removed all PCIx and PCIe cards. The mobo has 2 PCI slots, 2 PCIx slots, and 2 PCIe slots. The graphics card is in a PCI...

CD drives not recognized

Actually one CD/DVD burner is connected to IDE to the mobo. The other drive is an SATA dvd/cd burner connected to an SATA PCIx card. I just realized that I am also having trouble also with the PCIx SATA card because I have several hard drives connected to it that are not recognized either...

I gave this a try, but that did not help. When I look in Device Manager, there is not even a section for CD/DVD drives with the (+) sign, yet I checked again and they are seen in the bios.

Can not reclaim hard drive free space

Hello, I have an external USB - FIrewire 800 Lacie Big Disk 320 GB drive that shows most of it as used space of which I can not get back even through I have formatted the drive over and over, both quick and low level. Everytime I do a quick format, I right mouse click and it shows 73 GB USED...

Existing drive no longer seen by XP but seen in BIOS

PC Locking with pulsing faster and slowr??

Maximum Memory Clarification

Maximum Memory Clarification

So, if I didn't want to "play" with switches and the OS for the 3 GB split, is it fair, or logical, to simply sit tight until Windows 64 bit OS is common place (whenever that will be), and..... that my specific application (in this case Adobe Photoshop CS) is updated to utilize the 64-bit OS...
