Re-Build #2 - Video issues

Ok. Tested with another graphics card. Still no video signal. Tried another set of RAM modules, still nothing. Next step is replacing my cpu with another that is known to work. All else fails, replacement mobo/cpu and/or PSU.

The back story was pre-emptive for those that may come across this thread that helped me from the first scenario 2 months ago. The graphics card is still an EVGA 9800GT. The original was RMA'd with a factory refurb. What I was saying is the likely hood of a refub coming to me DOA is less...

Re-Build #2 - Video issues

No one has any advice? To my experience; if the video card is dead then I would need a working replacement to verifiy... If the CPU is dead, then the mobo wont post, but I SHOULD get a signal to my display... The HDD spins up, beyond that I cannot hear any tell-tale signs.

Is Vista 64bit really any faster than 32bit?

Well, I decided to stop fuggin around and wiped the slate clean. I got me a copy of Vista x64 SP2 and so far I'm very pleased. Just about everything has been given an immediate boost. There are some minor problems, but nothing at all that's permanent. (most of which are driver related)...

Really? Is this documented anywhere? I even went to micrshaft's website after I ran the MSO installation verification app... came up with nothing. I'll keep it in mind if I don't switch over. Luckily I still have my old rig running with Office on it-- for now. Thanks for the reply Vinyl.
