If she wants to tip, that's fine...what irks me is that she feels obligated even though she doesn't want to...She feels awkward if she doesn't tip...this kind of mentality "worries" me

Like I said, tipping those is fine. I don't believe in it but I still tip. If they provide a good service, i guess that's fine. However, tipping starbuck is not one of them....I guess it annoys me to see my gf gets brainwash by cultural influcences at times...

Well, I ran into a great deal on CL and emailed the person. He wrote back claiming he's currently in New England. I still proceed with caution and here's the quote from his email... About the procedure, things are pretty simple. First I go to Royal Mail with the item and start the delivery...

Jump to dSLR....confuse...please help decide

I already have a tripod and rarely ever use it. I take pictures spontaneously and don't see myself carry a tripod anywhere... i guess I would looking for a setup recommendation..but here is what i"m looking at pentax k100d with sigma 17-70mm or tamron 17-50f2.8....$675 (image stabalize)...

I've recently invested a lot of times researching dslr. making a jump from my point&shoot. I need a camera that takes photos of family and friends at gathering, vacation, etc. I don't do landscape, macro or anything like that. My lens requirement I think is modest. I don't see myself...

I wouldn't say I know this guy but we knew each other through friends. I've seen the camera and it looks brand new...Made in Japan imprinted at the bottom. Feels decently heavy enough...When looking at a camera, how migh one tell if its a fake or not? I've haven't taken any pic yet. Heard so...
