Question Any good failure stats out there?

I am so tired of having to return and RMA motherboards, and pull everything and reassemble over and over due to boards which don't work out of the box. Does anyone know of any objective defect rate stats out there, complied by retailers or anyone else? I would love to purchase known low defect...

Reviews also seem to indicate my 5820k is finally going to be bottlenecking for 144hz refresh rate at 1440p, and I'm sure a number of folks are in this boat too. So upgrading to this prior to also getting Ryzen 3 doesn't make sense anyways

Question any benefit to using ethernet cable higher than cat6 or cat6a ?

That may all be true but I would rather spend a bit more on better cabling than redo the labor, I'd you have to punch holes and patch walls. If it's a straightforward fish where you could easily swap the cables then no sense in trying to future proof.

When will we get FIOS internet, or Xfinity, at 2.5Gbit/sec? Any time soon?

Wow I am super jealous. I can't even get Comcast to give me something with more than 35 Mbps uplink without paying out the nose for business class, much less gigabit, I dont even dare to dream of 2gigabit

If I was wiring up walls, I might go to Cat7 if it was in the budget just to make sure I'm future proofing myself within reason especially if you gotta make cuts and patches in the wall. For a patch cable, just get 6a

Agree with Fallen. Get a better WAP before you go mesh, for sure. The Ubiquiti stuff mentioned earlier is very well regarded for that

Question Alternative to NVIDIA GeForce Titan X

Also, forget about dual cards. SLI barely works now, it isn't supported out of the box for DX12 or Vulkan games and almost no developers add support for it. Single card is pretty much the only game in town
