Anyone know what the deal is with cleaning a drop-in K&N filter?

xpert128 no hardware accel?

Jer 22, When I mentioned that the card is optimized for 32 bit color I don't mean to imply that it worked any better.It's just that the image was sharper and colors better(not by a great amount).If anything it was a little snappier in 16 bpp color and no problem running full hardware...

I have an ATI Xpert 128 PCI card for the last year or so in an ALI mobo with ALI chipset and have had no problems per se with the card.I'm using the drivers from the install cd which are 4.12.6292 and never felt compelled(maybe I should and don't know what I'm missing) to download newer...

Coulpe of oil changing questions

Ramble On, Yes the oil filter requires some oil to fill it but most oil filters don't hold anywhere near a quart,so by adding a quart for a much smaller filter leads to an overfilled condition.Regarding "back pressure in the valve cover" there shouldn't be any.If you remove the oil filler cap...

Sound Output and Quality?

While we're on the subject of Bose,yes as a poor college student I thought the 901's sounded good back in the 1970's and since then have heard bose speakers sound pleasant playing background music,but as accurate reproducers...not to my ears.It's a shame that alot of people in this country...

I need electrical advice for my computer

Without a ground your surge suppressor won't do you any good as the high voltage surge is diverted to GROUND by the suppressor.That's also the reason you don't use a "cheater plug" with a surge suppressor.Get it fixed,your and your computer's health will be better assured.

21" monitors... bad experiences, really sad

The monitors delivered in any reasonable quantity to the retail stores more than likely come by truck (as in stacked on pallets and unloaded by forklift).And if shipped by airfreight they probably came on a pallet also.It's the single monitor,as everyone is aware,that is more likely to get beat...
