I was faced with a similar situation a month or two ago. In short, yes. The peace of mind is worth it. Otherwise you will forever be wondering if there was really an issue and if it will come back.

how is droid bionic

Been using one since release day and I love it. Granted, I came from a Palm Pixi, so this is my first real Android phone. However,I've had no issues with it. It's definitely fast, and I find nothing wrong with the display (but again, this is my first phone of this type). IMO, you can't go wrong...

Is this a hot deal?

No offense, but I always find comments like this somewhat amusing. 8 pounds is really not that much, especially in relation to a desktop. It may be on the heavy end when compared to these ultra portables that weigh 2-3 pounds, but over all.....I don't think it's that heavy. Aside from that...

Thanks guys. Ran Prime 95 for almost 5 hours as well and I did not encounter any errors. I'm going to write it off as a big learning experience and I suppose only time will tell....

The 300W alternate PSU is some 3rd party no name brand. The kicker is, it's been running my other 1700XP machine for a good year or two flawlessly. It's the cheapest machine I have and it's run far better than the more expensive one (wihch has given me nothing but problems). Pretty sure the MSI...

Grr... I've now tried... -The old MSI Board with the new AMD 2000XP. It already had the 1700 in it before. -The new board...ECS NU400A with 1700 & 2000 AMD chips. No go. -Tried hooking up a spare 300W PSU when I had the 2000XP in the new board. No go. This is ridiculous. I'm ready to toss...

PSU was one of my guesses too. I've tested it with a PSU tester but I'm not so sure that's the a 100% sure method of determining if it's ok.... Edit: Side note...I get no beep codes at all. There does not appear to be a speaker on tihs MB but I have the speaker from my Antec SX830 hooked up...

Random Restarts? I have Lost IT!!!!!

Hrmm, I was just about to post about this too. I'm have the exact same problem. The only difference is that my rig is the other end of the spectrum... I'm using the following: 300 Watt Antec PSU AMD XP 1700+ MSI K7266 Pro 2-A 1 Gig of Memory (256 Crucial, 256 Corsair, 512 Centon) An ugly mix...

Some helped needed...Fault proc? MB? Who knows..

After setting and saving the BIOS settings, the machien locks on: R G G R Which apparently, according to the manual is the "BIOS Sign-on" phase. Going to try clearing the BIOS and seeing where that leads me. Edit: Back at square one. Same symptoms as before. Very odd. :(

Also of note...I'm using the same HSF on both the 1700+ and the 800. 800 runs perfectly cool. I'm almost tempted to put it back in...just to check my sanity. As for your suggestion, I've done. I just popped the battery out and tried to boot. No go. So it's safe to say the CMOS has been full...

Thanks for responding.. When I try to power on with the fastest processor, nothing happens to be blunt. If I look at the diagnostic LED's...I see R R R R, then R G R R, then all red and it just sits there. I get no beeps either, no video signal, nothing. I've not been through 2-3 MB's so I'm...
