another possible issue may be if you have usb/firewire cables plugged into the headers wrong...
what kind of PSU do you have? how old is it?
make sure you have the power cables for your motherboard and CPU plugged in
what BIOS ver are you running?

I can't find any major source of heat coming from my mobo using thermal probes( I know thoses aren't too efficent) I checked all the spots I could think of and nothing got hotter then ~36C everest isn't any help either.... it just gives me CPU...

Correction I purchased the HR-05-SLI/IFX which is supposed to of fix the flimsy mounting brackets and a better fin shape for cooling I guess
