Washing Keyboard?!?!

You can run the plastic parts through the dishwasher and they will be fine. To clean the membranes with the contacts I use rubbing alcohol and it has always worked fine.

Well there are really only two things left. The video card, which I doubt is the problem, or the motherboard. The motherboard is the most likely suspect.

How do I "repair" in Win2k?

Bring up a command prompt and type in "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew". You can get further information by typing "ipconfig /help" for all available switches.

Win98 Network problem with 6+ adapters.

AOL 7.0 will only add WAN mini port (ATW) and VPN. The two AOL adapters are from a 6.0 or 5.0 installation. Wan mini port replaces them in the 7.0 version.

Sharing AOL DSL?

Since you say that both computers use XP I have seen it work through ICS though I didn't personally set it up I don't know how difficult it is. If your parents are not in any hurry to share the connection AOL is beta testing a home networking solution that will allow up to 5 computers to share...

A .bin file is usually a CD image ready to burn. You need to give a little more information as to the distro you are using.
