Finding my old Kali serial #s!!

Had the same problem years ago (97 or so) and just sent them an email with my regged name/address/email, the new contact info and a brief explanation. Your post reminded me that I need to do it again, hehe.

Hard Drive Imaging Utility..True Image or Ghost??

Been using Trueimage and definitely recommend it. Very easy to use, never had a glitch and the features are better than Ghost (not sure about v.9 though). Have used it many times for HD failures, general XP restores via the bootdisk. Like that it saves backups to compressed files. These...

Canon i850 printhead dies

If your getting the Canon i560, get it at Office Depot. They have a $50 rebate making the total cost around $50. The one I picked up came with full cartridges too, no cable. OD Printer Rebate This deal expires today though (Sat. 6/19).

SATA problem

After you press F6 the Windows install will continue to run through pre install procedures and eventually give you the option to install other drivers from a floppy..about 3 minutes or so depending. This delay can give the impression that the F6 keypress did not work.

IS there a way to unclog a canon print head

YMMV, but it is my understanding that the Canon print heads are covered under the year warranty. I experienced clogging 5 months after my I850 purchase and called Canon. They ran me through the usual cleaning cycles and test prints with negative results. Canon mailed out a new print head...

Good deal for my Mother in law, thanks. BTW, it seems providers are now using word trickery to describe "unlimited" (read=Comcast). Unlimited mean you can always connect, or 24/7 access and aren't restricted to certain times.

ATI 9800np overclocking - slightly disappointed

Hm, PSU? That would definitely explain things. Have a Enermax 330w, oldest component in the system. It's powered 4 different systems over the last three years, so replacing that will probably be my next move. Currently running 4 drives, 3 fans, P4 etc. Thanks for the advice.

ATI 9800np overclocking - slightly disappointed

BenQ was formerly known as Acer, fyi. Don't really have any information regarding their LCD's but based on name alone I would stick with LG. From the few components I have had from each, the Lucky Goldstar have performed better (CD/DVD drives mainly).

Another vote for Photoshop Elements 2.0. Definitely the best solution for the price IMHO.

Frustrating modem problems......

Try downloading the patch from symantec if possible Blaster removal tool There are instructions on usage, most importantly make sure you disable system restore.

Canon i850 VS Canon i950 printer

All this FUD about HP carts. Yes, they are expensive but anyone with even a ounce of skill can refill for around $5. They also include the print heads on each cartridge which contributes to that high price. Each cart can be refilled 4-8 times depending on the method and care of the cartridge...

Had to order it so I went with a Albatron PX845PE Pro IIS. Looks like a decent board with some good reviews and know a couple people with Albatrons and are happy with the quality/performance. Anybody have experience with this specific board?
