I believe what you are saying is correct, but somehow I cant get myself to follow this rule.
Everytime a new bios or driver comes out, im there. guess having a backup chip for the bios
and a ghost image for the os also helps :)
it might be your power supply that is causing the problem. what is the power rating and is it an amd recommended ps?
i had a supermicro 300w ps and it would boot up when you first plug the computer in but after it shuts down it wont
completely bootup unless you unplug the power and bootup...
check out overclockers.com, those guys go to extreme with their cpus.
thats a pretty good overclock, but im sure someone over there got you beat by a mile. :)
This might be stupid question, but how do i find out who is a mod here? Usually before you enter a certain category in another forum they advertise who is mod there.
My username is Daica and I have been registered to the forums since June 2000. I am not using aol as my isp. The email address the account is under is with attbi but now I am with cox. I havent been able to login since I had att so i dont think cox is the problem.
thanks for the replies
Im with you ffmcobalt, i havent been able to login with my username and emailed them several times with to no avail. I am seeking help from our fellow members instead. Hope a mod sees this thread and give us a heads up on the situation.

I own an athlon system right now, but my next system will definitely be INTEL! I just find the rating scheme that AMD uses a step back into the K6 days. I mean comn, give me the correct Mhz rating instead of 3400+ or some bs.
the games and programs on D will not automatically work, unless you install them into the XP operating system...im sure you know that already, but your files and everything else on that drive will be save. Unless you go NTFS on both partitions.
Be ready for a big headache if it doesnt work when u flip the power button... and jubilation that something you built can kick some ass when it does :)
