Please Vote on a AM4 X370 Motherboard

I'd suggest buying the board that has the stuff you want/need. It's what I did with the Asrock Taichi. A billion SATA ports. So I vote Asrock 1 (because it had what I wanted)

Ryzen: Strictly technical

I did the ACS patch and was able to pass my 1070 through to the win10 guest. Got the "error 43" message installing the driver. I couldn't overcome that problem. I guess I'll have to use all AMD/Radeon cards to make it work.

ryzen 1700 + asrock taichi what can I expect/help

My Taichi had a bios version that didn't include a flash utility built into the bios. I had to boot to a bootable dos USB stick and flash it the old fashioned way.

Ryzen: Strictly technical

I have an Asrock Taichi with v2.0 bios. I have an rx460 in the PCI-E 1 slot (nearest the cpu) and a NV 1070 in the "middle" PCI-E slot. Running Ubuntu 17.04 beta. I've been trying and failed to do pci-e pass through.

Need some advice. Might be buying a used laptop. Will this run 1080p?

It's a Toshiba. AMD Quad Core A4-5000M Accelerated Processor Windows 7 4GB DDR3 memory HD 8330 Graphics The MOST IMPORTANT question I need to know is will this be enough to output .mkv videos to a 1080p TV via HDMI? Thank you for your advice.

Is there any way to block the Daily Tech feed?

I'm a LONG time reader of Anandtech. It's my #1 go to site for tech related things. I am, however, getting really really tired of the liberal slanted articles on Daily Tech. Is there a way to block the feed? Thank you.

Watching TV/Movies Options?

Laptop is near perfect. Had it for ~5 years. It wont do full screen video, but I was thinking perhaps there is a way, either via firewire/usb/pcmcia that I could stream movies to it. Is there something I can buy for it that will let me watch movies or tv on it? Say an video capture card, or...

Need advice on a _RUGGED_ external SATA enclosure.

In all seriousness, I'm sending a buddy of mine a HDD. I need an enclosure thats: 1: Cool 2: Uses SATA dirves 3: Has good shock protection for things such as getting dropped, long shipping, etc. Which one would you recommend that fits my criteria? Thanks!

939 overclocking. I need your guys advice.

Well I pulled the trigger thanks to your guys input. Bought me a opteron 170 and the thermaltake Tai Chi watercooling case. Put a rush next day delivery on it from Newegg. Cant wait to see how car I can push it!

If a 185 would result in the highest clock possible, I'll get one. But it sure seems opterons are the way to go for sure. Anyone have any input on watercooling stuff? I really appreciate your replies so far!

I want the best dual core 939 overclocking results money can buy, to be honest and upfront. So that leaves me with several questions: Which 939 cpu, x2 or opteron, will give me the best chances of overclocking? I'm gonna go back to water after a 5 year absence. I'm not really caught up...

Need advice on bare metal disk backups.
