Cannot empty, no. I'd prefer to fix the issue on the machine itself, anyway, as it is clearly the problem.

3 drives, sorry, it's a typo. Hell, I actually have *five* external HDs, none of them work reliably on the air. I've only tested 3 of them more extensively. >you have a Mac Mini, and a MacBook Air, and your wife has a MacBook Pro Yes. Also have two PCs, both of which handle the externals...

2 completely different drives, yes, and I've tried both USB ports. The drives work occasionally, probably less than 10% though. I basically have to just keep plugging them in and cross my fingers.

They show up on my mac mini, but not my wife's MBP. Mini is on 10.7, MBP is on 10.6. O_o. It's Fat32

I've got 3 different external HDs I've tested on this thing and 9 times out of 10 it simply won't show the drive when its plugged in. The drives work perfectly on two other systems tested. Also, the Air seems to have no trouble with my card reader; it's only external HDs. Any ideas what could be...

Quick PSU 12v/mobo compat. question

I just picked up an 1155 mobo for my new i5. I'm using an oldish PSU, a Corsair 450w ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139003 ). The mobo has an 8-pin 12V socket which in the manual is labeled ATX 12v v1 The PSU is, apparently ATX 12v v2.2, and has two 4-pin 12v connectors...

Mac mini locking up after a long idle time

Alright, so despite removing LCC entirely, the system locked up again some time last night. dmesg no longer has the Logitech errors, just a bunch of normal looking output. At this point I am at a complete loss. Anyone have any other ideas? What kind of support (or lack thereof) can I expect...

The main KB is wired and it stops responding as well. I just get a grey screen.

I just ran a disk check and it was ok. I do leave the disk spinning, but heat problems seem unlikely given that it's locking up during periods of inactivity, whereas when I'm doing much more intensive tasks when working on the machine it's never had any problems. Regardless, I'll have it put the...
