ah, exatly as i thought, now that brings me to the next question. What is the native res for CRT tvs....is tehre any way to adjust the monitor res when it receives the analog signal from the cablebox thingy? or am istuck with that quality period. Would buying a high quality TV card sllow me to...

i believe so as well, when i play warcraft 3, the colours are quite deep and rich, basically perfect. I think cuz of the sRGB std of the interweb why there's a reduction in the vibrancy, but i'm assuming that's how it is supposed to be, cuz it is indeed more realistic. Thanks a lot PurdueRy for...

ok WIth BOTH profiles there's a clear difference between firefox and Internet explorer. However the differences are inversed depending on which profile i use i.e With Dell'sprofile, the colours look more vivid than IE, while with tft's profile, they look more realistic, but less vivd than...

Hmm I could've sworn i posted something but it jsut disappeared haha. Anyway, I used a new profile from tftcentral isntead of the Dell's profile because it failed teh black depth, contrast and white saturation tests at Lagom. The colours although vivid and beautiful were apparently NOT...

Got it, i'm all set :) I color managed firefox as well, it's a noticeable difference. Thanks a lot purdueRy. Is there anything else i should do for improvements?

Ok so i got my DEll 2408 rev A01, and it's stunning, the reds and the greyscale are especially stunning. Right now i'm on Dekstop mode, the other presets look horrible imo. Have not noticed any pink tinting or rainbow effects that others have seen...thank goodness :) SO what do i do now...

Does the dell 2408 rev A01 do that? cuz that's the one i got. Also, although the monitor has 1:1 mapping, if i put it to display 1920x1080 res for my ps3, will it fill the entire screen or would i have black bars? Thanks for taking time to reply :)

i have a question, i don't intend on buying a ARDWARE calibrator, is it possible to get decent colour accuracy on the Dell 2408 via software methods? I don't need perfection, just a decent accuracy is fine for me

Thank you for your advice xtnight, i bought the Dell 2408 based on what you said, hopefully i would walk away a happy man. One thing thoug after checking some reviews i see conflicting information. Anandtech states that the monitor before calibration i s better than monitors after calibration...
