Wow thanks a lot, lots of good information there. Is there any recommended utility used for overclocking the GPU... I have most recent ATI drivers right now, it's running good.
Still, would you have chosen the 9500 pro over the gf fx 5200 ultra?
is the radeon 9500 pro / 9700 the same as a 9700... i cant tell if this card is a 9500 pro, a 9700, or a 9700 pro
it just lists as a radeon 9500 pro / 9700
I have to choose one, a friend said he'd give me the Radeon 9500 Pro / 9700 128mb, since he's upgrading, andfor his spare box won't need a good vid card. Since I only have 1 box, a main box, should I keep my GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128mb or take the radeon... I don't know which is better...
Soltek SL-K8T890Pro vs. Abit AX8 K8T890...
Which is the better board. Similarly priced. I want some overclocking options and good stability.
I have decided against nforce4... I feel I can trust what VIA makes... they've been used a lot longer then nForce. Plus I feel the VIA will be...
I can build a better comp then that for <1000.... :)
When are rich boys gonna learn.. have all that money, don't have the ideal to simply read for like 2 HOURS to find out what to buy and what not to at what prices....
Hmmm wierd... I'm not getting either of those models (AV8 Nforce4 is what I'm getting...) not the 3rd eye... probably a fluke but the IC-7 max 3 I don't know.. got me stuck there. Probably a messed up board...
Ah sweet... yeah I did some tournaments and lanparties in my time lol... CS is fun I use to kick ass but now I just suck so yeah... everyone hax me :( hehe
Your comp will be very impressive, easy to setup, you'll do fine, and I'm sure you'll be pleased.
I'd wait for dual core toledo or something... man you're smoking the crap out of my system (athlon xp 2100... 512mb 2100...fx5200u) and im fighting the upgrade urge... waiting for venice cores to come out. You need the Upgrade-O-Patch or something to put on your arm to fight the cravings ;)...
Don't get the FX-55... if you really want to upgrade I'd wait for the new AMD chips (venice) and pick up a 3800+ venice and overlock it to match speeds of a FX-55 for half the price...
I've never heard of skyhawk but if you're impressed by it go ahead and get it! Come back here and write a lil review of how it does... I think the 450w xclio will suit your needs though.
