RAID 0 Optimal Stripe size?

16k i believe was the average optimal size I've read elsewhere.

any word about the iwill board? or chaintech board? epox/gigabyte/msi/iwill/chaintech are my options :) so far, looks like epox, mainly becasue of the four notch holes around the processors to fit some nice ol' swiftechs on them :)

I think that's only via win2K. On XP there's no security option like that (that i know of?) :-(

I'm running XP Pro. On my 2nd hard disk is also XP (from a diff. machine). I'm trying to access the user folder under "documents and settings" but i'm unable to. I'm trying to save my brother's data and then reformat the HD again. Is there any way i can access this to copy to data over to my...

ATA 100 vs. ATA 133 Hd?

it's not really a requirement to "saturate" the whole bus, or get near it. Anyhow, there IS a performance gain from using the ata-133 HD. The maxtor 740dx (sp?) is NICE! & i'd get that, IMO! Of course, you'll need an ata-133 ide controller. most mobo's won't adopt this until l8r. Get the...

Was wondering what is meant when you can changet the volts of a fan to 7V by combining the 12V & 5V wires??? I might have phrased that wrong, but it's something along those lines :-)..... Is there two wires per fan>?

Easy CD Creator 5.0 Platinum not working with XP

Works fine for me. If you need to burn in the meantime, I suggest getting the lastest updates @ www.roxio.com (i believe it's 5.02).... that should work.

Changing Boot Manager? ::::

Is there a better "menu" @ the beginning? OR can i change LILO? I don't like having to type in what I want to boot... instead, i'd prefer a numerical menu (1 or 2) to boot up either XP or Linux............. can I change lilo to do this?
