Windows 7 64 bit won't install.

Problem found and fixed. It was my DVD burner, it's a HP 640C and I guess it just doesn't burn great DVD's. I downloaded the ISO to a different PC and burned a new DVD and it worked perfect.

I didn't do a search on the exact error message because it as at start-up from boot disk but I will make note of it next time. I am about to use a different PC and DVD burner and burn a new disk and see if that works.

I did a memtest and everything is okay there. Nothing is overclocked.

Can't install Windows 7 64bit for some reason. I constantly am getting a file corruption message when trying to install. I have tried a number of different DVD's and lowered the burning speed significantly. I will swap my DVD burner out tonight with another one and burn a new DVD with it. I...

Bioshock 1680X1050

I downloaded Bioshock through Steam, and it plays fine in 1680X1050, but when I quit the game and then try and come back into the game it hangs, I need to reboot and then it will be back to the default resolution and it plays fine. Note that when I make the change to 1680x1050 it plays fine...

Windows7 for Gamers?

I am still using XP on my main gaming rig, but what are your thoughts about Windows7 64bit for a gaming OS? Will there be a FPS hit?

Evga 7950GX2 shuts off

Quick update. It was the card itself. I picked up another hard drive last night and installed a clean install of WinXp on it, got it all set up and patched and then installed the Nvidia drivers, once I do that, and it switches to a high resolution, poof, screen goes blank. Guess I will send it...

I did try that as well. I installed the original drivers that came with the card and even those ones don't seem to work.

Evga 7950GX2 shuts off

I updated the driver for my Evga 7950GX2 and ever since it won't boot. If I boot to safe mode and remove the driver it will run just fine in VGA mode, but the moment I install the Nvidia driver (new or old) once the PC reboots, the videocard will power off. Has anyone heard of this before...
