Like Nesssalmon (on this thread), I have the same question: how to load no-1802.com in ?real dos? as I am running Win XP pro? I would appreciate it if someone can point me in the direction of (or PM me) a step-by-step guide to this whole procedure of installing (and getting to run) a non-IBM...
Thanks for your suggestion. As per your suggestion, I am leaning toward sticking in a hard disk...but I don't see where it will go. I mean, this box doesn't have any slot/s for a hard-drive.
Recently I have acquired a computer that has Intel® L440GX+ Server Board with two p3 CPUs. It doesn't have memory or hard-disk. I pulled out a stick of pc100 DIMM from one of my desktops at home, connected a monitor and keyboard and powered it on. When it powers up (after a few seconds of...
UPS delivered the box today. I opened it to verify everything is in there. Everything is. There is also a hardcopy of the mobo manual. The CD accompanying the mobo also has this manual in PDF format. Just wanted to post this because I read somewhere on this forum that this barebone system...

Yes, I did look at the manual online. It is just a PDF version of the manual that came with the mobo. In the diagram in the manual, there is a little circle which is marked speaker. The speaker itself has two pins and I am not clear as to how these two pins fit in that circle.
I have a Tyan S2507 Tiger 230 mobo. The computer case I have has a little speaker with two pins. The user?s manual that came with the motherboard doesn?t describe how to connect a speaker and, hence, this post here. If you've had experience with this mobo, pls. let me know how a speaker should...

I have three disks on my triple-boot --FreeBSD, Linux and Windows XP--system. At any given time, I am using only one of the OSes on one of the three disks. Each is big enough for my needs and I don't mount disk/s. My question is: Is there a way to stop other disks from spinning once one of the...
I've had this disk for about 4 years now. The computer that this disk was in had a power supply problem--I mean it got fried, I actually saw the fired and smoke. I have since been able to use the other two disks (, memory, and PCI cards) from this computer on other computers but whenever I try...
mechBgon, I wish I had your photo guide when I built my computer recently. The hardest part was the heatsink installation on Athlon XP CPU on Albatron KX600 Pro mobo.
