Would you buy a Corsair Force GT 180GB for $194?

Bought a 120GB version 2 months ago, it's been working perfectly for me.

i7 990 6 cores, only shows 4 cores

I would try the msconfig options as well. If you messed with the boot options in the advanced config, it might be it.

weird hdd problem

First of all, I'd like to thank all those who replied. Those are some pretty ingenious solutions, but I would like a more permanent solution rather than a work around to keep the hdd busy. I'm sure those fixes would keep the pc from locking up, but the extra hdd space isn't really critical...

weird hdd problem

I have a Samsung 1TB hdd (model: HD103UJ) that causes my pc to lock up after about 20 mins being idle. If the hdd is used continuously after boot, it works perfectly hours on end. This hdd was part of a raid 0 setup I had for over a year and was working fine until recently when I upgraded...

Intel says flaw in Series 6 Sandy Bridge chipsets

According to the article at Tomshardware, the data on the hdd connected to the faulty SATA ports should be unaffected. Any validity in that statement?

i5-2500k temps too high?

Temps in the bios will show higher temps than in windows using programs like RealTemp. 39C in the bios will translate to about 30C in windows. Had the same issue with my p8p67 pro build.

Samsung F4 2TB $79 at Newegg is back

Would you be happy to find your hard drive packed in the bottom of the box of loosely filled packing peanuts, wrapped in bubble wrap that has been mostly popped during shipping? Even if a hard drive was designed to withstand that kind of shock, I don't want to find my new item like that.

Samsung F4 2TB $79 at Newegg is back

Picked this drive up a few weeks ago for $89, and I'm very pleased with its performance. On a side note, it seems newegg has really stepped up in the hard drive packaging dept. since my last order a year ago.

when will we see core i3 laptops?

As title says, and how will these compare to the core 2 laptops that are out currently in terms of price and performance? I'm in the market for a new laptop and I don't know if I should wait or pick up whatever deal i can find on existing laptops.

Eyefininty wannabes: $75 22" 1080p

Received mine today, the quality looks pretty good for the price. I did however detect one stuck pixel (red), but doesn't bother me too much since it's on the top right side of the screen. Well worth the $80 spent.
