so i just got my zr24w up and installed and i gotta say really happy. great color uniformity (though i expected this coming from a 2005fpw), no dead pixels, and very very minor bleeding in bottom left and top right but its not noticable when i'm sitting slightly over an arm's reach away which...
when i first installed i was having issues as well. I could hit 4.0 in a 750 but was getting 80 degrees with short P95 blends.
After i read this guide and resat my HT it dropped my temps down by 10 degrees. I put fans in push/pull and noticed only 3ish degrees drop so seating the heat sink...
I had some trouble with games right after i installed Windows 7 but i found this to help..
It did help me even though it talks about it being an Windows XP Fix.
I was pretty confused when i started my OC on the I5. My ASUS board use the word Turbo for EIST and C-states tech for what people are talking about "turbo"
Right now with "turbo" i was able to get stable at ~1.225 with BLK of 165. 3.5 base quad with 4.0 single core. Been happy with this as...
i know my P55-E Pro has both a quick book option and an setting to adjust the amount of time before booting the operating system (5s, 10s, maybe more settings)
I don't really notice much of a difference in post times from my old system on a gigabyte board vs my new system on an Asus board.
Hopefully on very high. I have everything set on High with AAx8 and i'm getting 45-65 through most of the first level in the wooded areas.
I run 5850 with i5 750 at 3.6 and only used the generic OC tool in the CCC and haven't had an issue playing any game with settings maxed.
i'm confused (mostly as i have a 2005FPW)...
What makes the 2005 FPW better then the new Sub $200 monitors from Acer/ASUS/LG/Hanns. These new ones ones have faster response time (5ms vs 12ms), higher contract ratios (1000:1 vs 600:1), Similar Brightness(300:1), and simlar vertical/horizontal...
The odd thing is my idle voltage is reading 1.224V, while running Prime-95 voltage is reading 1.232.
The mobo is the new ASUS P55-E Pro. I'm not sure if the mobo is ignoring the setting and just providing the voltage of it cpu-z is reading incorrectly.
Its a mild OC so its understandable why...
Before i ask, wanted to say thanks, been stalking here for months to make my decision on setup. System is all built and have a mild OC on it right now, but just a couple of questions i don't know the answer to.
I currently am OCed to 3.2 with EIST and C-states enabled. I have my voltage set...
I've found this on the topic.
ASUS has a bridge chip to enable support for SATA 6 Gb/second and USB 3.0. The use of a bridge chip allows the system to run in SLI/Crossfire mode with full performance of SATA 6 Gb/second. The board overclocked almost 1GHz with solid stability. Great features...
i believe with the UD4 you can use single graphics card and still run at x16. However if you crossfire / SLI, i interrupt "normal" mode to be SATA 3gb/s and USB 2.0.
The Asus version P7P55D-E Pro doesn't say anything along those lines and looks like they fully support crossfire / SLI while...
