I have a 720b triple core that runs very well. I have overclocked it to 4ghz with only a small increase in core voltage. 4.1ghz was not stable, but at 4ghz thats a 1200mhz overclock. Not to shabby for a cpu with a disabled core and 6megs of L-3 cache. I hope this new cpu does well in its segment
My old system was a AMD 6000+ x2 with 4 gigs Fatality ddr2-800 ram, and windows xp pro sp3. with a Asus 9800gt Ultimate running stock clocked, plus that card had all 128 stream processors enabled, I scored 11,156 3dmarks. the cpu was o/c to 3.3 from 3.0 stock. I installed another exact same card...
There's really no need to buy another video card until there is a vast improvement in performance. I have a EVGA superclocked 8800gt that runs everything I throw at it. newegg has this very card for $155 plau a $20 rebate. I may get one to run SLI for that price.
