Hey all. I was wondering what operating system would you guys recommend to demonstrate network clustering. I am looking for being able to burn a bootable cd that will automatically enable the PC's that use that cd to cluster into one "big" computer. I know that knoppix is a popular OS for this...

Tips anyone? I got a tip to look at SourceForge yesterday and turns out they have a solution available. Please let me know if there are any other options, or if anyone out there has any experience about their solutions for a Unix Tracking System. Thanks!

I work for a company that currently has NO license and hardware tracking tools for the Unix Platform. We seem to be having a little trouble researching our options. I was wondering if any of you really good techy people know of any third party tools to use. We have already identified products...

No offence, but you are a little behind... AMD Athlon 64 3200+ ~$450 AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 >$700 Those are the two processors that AMD released today.

Today is the day it's clear that P4EE is the winner - who cares about A64...old tech is faster..shame on AMD :/

*Official Athlon 64 and FX51* 15 reviews, ANANDTECHS IS UP!!!! P4EE is not the clear winner as some people say ;)

I was also wondering why Anand has the Athlon 64 3200+ at 2.2GHz... I thought the Athlon 64 3200+ was a 2.0GHz chip and the Athlon 64 FX-51 was at 2.2GHz... And another link that has some overclocking on the FX-51 is: http://www.legitreviews.com/Reviews/64fx_1.shtml

What single computer part would you spend $800 on?

I'd get dual LCDs... just use any stereo system you have as your PC Speakers.... that's what the AUX line is for :)
