Windows Server 2003 Standard wont load

1) Make sure to load most current BIOS if you can. 2) Clear CMOS if that does not work. 3) Do not use the Marvell SATA controller. 4) Set all settings to default in the bios. Some things to try.

An IDE drive? The board only has one IDE hookup so if you have an IDE optical drive connected as well, make sure both have their jumper set to Cable Select. If not, the hard drive may not be properly recognized.

anyone have any experience with the infrant readynas nv?

I have the X6 and it is great. The web management is really slick. I would recommend the ReadyNas just because they all use the same interface so I know what you get with the NV.

I tried to flash to this bios and had to do a recovery bios back to the previous version. Tried it again using the other methods and no luck, the computer would not boot into Windows. As soon as the bios was reverted back, the computer worked. They fixed a lot of bugs, but for me they caused...

As long as you use one or the other, not both, it should be fine. AS5 is a better choice if you are looking to overclock, but in that case a better HS would be warranted as well.

If you can get to it before it freezes, try to get to the menu item in the bios that corresponds to "Load default settings" or something like that. If not, find the MB manual online, find the section on reseting the bios, do that, and then see if it still has problems after a bios reset. Bet...

Open up the case, and look for the SATA connections. In very small lettering, depending on how many SATA connections you have, they will have the channel listed on the motherboard next to the port. Always starts with SATA 0 and runs up to SATA 3 (for a 4 SATA port MB). Once you find the one...
