To be a late reply, I called SBC (Ameritech, INdiana) today to try and rerate our DSL service for my parents. They said we needed to have SBC Long Distance and 3 other extended services (i.e. Caller ID) to get the $15 a month. Since we currently have none of those, we didn't qualify for that...

Best build tip I can give you: take the strongest sedative possible that still allows you to function well enough to assemble the whole thing. That way when and if it goes wrong you wont get nearly as pissed off! I sure wish I had been loaded up when I built mine, because EVERYTHING went wrong.
