Yeah. I've done a lot of research to settle on the 537h. It comes with an ATSC tuner as well, and a QAM descramber. Basically means, you could end up with a lot of HD for free. It also weights about 15 pounds less than the Viewsonic including the stand.
I do think both deals are hot...
Well, the Syntax 537h at 999 at J&R. NO rebates, no tax outside of new york. This is probably a better known brand though. However, the Syntax has a 1600 contrast and a good brightness. This one has a 800 contrast and brigtness isn't listed. Tough call. Still a hot deal for sure. I'm just...
Nope. That's not quite how it works. It accepts a 1080i source and then downconverts it. Think about that for a second. It is getting 1080 lines at 30/second. That does not mean it looks about the same as 540p. 1080i for slow moving images looks better than 720p. For fast moving images...
There are a few owners in the avs forums.
Interesting to note: Does not officially seem to have HDCP support, though sending a signal through HDMI DVI seems to work. The SD picture quality is a little subpar. Also, does not support 1080p input. It takes 720p and 1080i and upconverts it...
Looks like a great deal. Specs of 500 brightness and 800 contrast aren't great, but the price is awesome. Once you add in shipping (42 bucks for me, and tax and the 10 dollar California special fee, this comes to a little over a grand. Now, there are other 37inch monitors available in the...
The specs seem to be contradictory though. In the description its listed as 1200:1 contrast, while in the specs its listed as 1000:1. Brightness is mentioned in some places as 550 and in others its 500. Still a good deal, but that brightness number is rather low and this tv certianly doesn't...
I called and convinced the guy to let me apply the coupon retroactively. Just letting you guys know. They will refund it directly onto the credit card. I would go ahead and give it a try. I did have to talk him into it. Apparently, their policy is they will pricematch if the difference is...
Got in on this deal. Yay.
I have already sold (read as secured a buyer) the system part with my used existing 17 inch Samsung LCD monitor for $480. That leaves me with the 2007fp for 180shipped including tax. Wonderful deal for me.
Maybe the mobo is misreporting. The heatsink is only lukewarm to the touch. I stuck a temp sensor to the heatsink and it reads 33C.
Is there any chance that my heatsink is so poorly seated that there is no thermal connection?? It certianly looks snug.
I'm having a similar type of problem. DFI SLI-DR.
4400+ set at 1.48 reading 1.43. 40C idle and 63-64C load. I think the temp is just reading wrong, because the heatsink is cool to the touch. Temp sensor on the heatsink (cnps7700) reads much lower. So, either my heatsink is making no...
Okay. will try that. However, when I stop Dual Prime, the temp drops back to 40-41 in under 30 seconds, so that seems to suggest that the ventilation is okay.
4400+ with Zalman 7700cnps. (AS5)
I have the Vcore set to 1.48, but the motherboard and the monitoring software read it between 1.42-1.45. Not sure whether they're reading it low.
227 (2-2-2-5-1T) x 11 = 2.5GHZ
Idle Temps are fine in the low 40s. Dual Prime Torture Test small FFT...
