Speedfan Vcore readings

The board is the DFI Ultra-d NF4 Why is there such a difference between vcore voltages? My vcore in the bios is set to 1.4. http://www.daplayas.com/attachments/files/speedfan.jpg

modding 20 pin psu to 24pin psu

I just bought a DFI nf4 ultra-d motherboard and it requires a 24pin psu. Can I mod my current 20pin psu (antec 550w true power) to 24pins. I am thinking of using the wires from the AUX connector (for the 3.3v and 5v (has anyone ever used this) with 12v from a standard molex connector to...

new hardware faulty?

If you have extra parts swap them one at a time with the known hardware. I find it's the only way to test faulty hardware.

Hmm the xp pro look identical, id go with the cheaper one. As for the memory I'd go for the corsair.

Abit IC7 stopped showing temperature!!

My Abit ic7 has stopped displaying the temperature for the system, cpu, and pwm. In the bios those sections are just blank, and same for the winbond hardware doctor 2.71.

Motherboard, processor, and ram for < $425

Cool, ok the opteron is ordered. What is a good mobo to go with it, is there any motherboards I should avoid? So far the EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra Socket 939 and Epox EP-9NPAJ were suggested. Epox still makes great overclocking motherboards I see. Any other options I should look at...

Ok, the 165 looks good. Now what cooler should I get (air only) to overclock it with. I do NOT want a noisy cooler. Will a quiet zalman cooler suffice?

What is a good but not loud cooler that I can use to overclock these. The Opteron 165 is $11 more than the 3800+ x2 but I am still trying to find benchmarks between these two processors.

I haven't decided on a new video card ytet. My old 9800 pro AGP died and now I need a new system, because I don't want to bother buying another agp video card with pci xpress out now. I'll probably spend around $200 on a new video card down the road. I do a lot of digital video editing...
