Can I Fix This Problem Without Reinstalling Windows?

Whether your "tech-moochin'" friend uses a VPN connection, or not, would make no diff to the OS day-to-day, so why not reinstall ndiswan.vxd and be done with it? While you're at it, why not tweak BIOS and check system.ini settings.

Practical Benefits of Overclocking

Hey Nick1985 :-) I see you run an Epox 9NDA3+. I just built a system w/9NDA3+ A64 3200 90nm 2x512 Ballistix PC3200 Antec 550 2xWD360 Raptor RAID 0 1xWD800JB VXA-1 tape, etc, etc. As I'm new to OC'ing and the Epox Phoenix BIOS, I'd appreciate knowing what DRAM and POWER settings you employ.

Yes ... the "new"" drive uses the same EIDE mobo controller; however, I disconnect the "old" drive and connect the new at the end of an ATA100 cable. BTW, the new drive, WD800, WILL NOT respond to a Win2K interrupt IF ANY JUMPER is connected to master/slave/cable select! A pecularity of the WD...
