SSD, worth it?

May be worth it in a laptop?? A good SSD will transform your laptop in a way that almost no other upgrade currently can. It's like going from 128MB to 2GB of RAM - the difference is that substantial. Yeah, a good SSD like the Intel is expensive, but I bet you've spent that much or more on...

I have Sennheiser HD580's w/o Amp

You'll get a much, much better answer to this question at Head-Fi. Owning the 580's myself, I know that they respond very very well to an amp, but how much that matters to you for gaming is hard to say.

I would go ATA rather than dealing with the extra hassle of the add-on PCI card. Personally, I'd stay away from Maxtor drives. Of course someone has had a bad experience with every brand, but the only 2 drives I've ever had fail have been maxtor's, and they are quite a bit louder than most...

Need help evaluating LCD monitors

I just picked up an LG L1920P from BestBuy after looking at many 19" LCD's. It was about $600 w/ $150 in mail in rebates. It is one of the nicest monitors I have seen. Other than the Apple displays, it's the only display that has made me consider giving up my 19" Sony Trinitron CRT.

Someone recommend me a SATA pci controller with Raid 0....

I'd highly recommend a card made by LSI Logic. They are very reasonably priced, and if you do need support with setup issues or whatnot, their service is top-notch. A real tech answers the phone (no automated systems), and their techs actually really know what they are talking about. Great...

Copying whole hard drive? HELP

Microsoft has a program that will "prep" a Windows drive for transfer to a new system or motherboard. I can't remember what it's called, but I know it exists. That would probably require that drive to be up and running on your old board though. Looks like you might have rushed things a bit.
