How low can you go??

You've a week 30 chip (3&4 digits). I've a week 27, I'll try latter to reduce it's vcore.

How low can you go??

What week chip? I've mine at 1.3 in bios (1.26 real), I'll have to try lowering it some more. You should run real cool at that vcore; almost don't need a cpu fan.

ES = Engineering Sample Not sure what that truly means though.

Most use the DEL key.

Stock Idle Temps E6300?

Under 40c for the cores at idle is good.

P5B-E rev 1.01g stock temps with e6300 48-50c help?

1.35v max is what the box of the retail 6300 says. 39c at idle is ok. What's it under full load for around 10 minutes?

Try manually setting vcore to about 1.3v. The auto mode sets too high for vcore. Also bios 601 fixes the on-off-on boot issue. Does your Q-fan for the CPU work? Mine turns off the fan instead of slowing it!

Overclocking E6300 & Asus P5B-E

I've this board and CPU too. I'm running at 2.8Ghz with 1.3 Vcore. It droops to 1.26v, but runs stable. Use the BIOS readings for vcore, some apps give false readings. If you leave the Vcore on Auto, you'll get plenty of CPU voltage; too much really. Mine was like 1.48v and the Temps went...

Does the 102g board still do the reboot thing at startup? If so, can this failsafe be disabled or is a glitch? Mike
