ASRock 775Dual-VSTA Core2 Duo with AGP and PCI-E along with DDR1 and DDR2 slots.

I have had this board for over a year now, love it. I have tried so many combinations of memory & processors, video cards, its crazy. Runs Vista, XP no problem, SATA, whatever. Been a very fun board, I'll keep it till it quits or gets old. okiepc

Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 2GB Kit DDR2-800 $29.80

Well, I got these from ZZF, put them in and the results are, a very good upgrade. Turns out to cost me less than $60, free shipping, for 2 gig of Corsair DDR2 memory, not a bad price, came with heat sinks, looks nice. okiepc

AsRock 775Dual-VSTA -Open Box-

Mine came in this afternoon on Fedex, did a quick bench set up and it boots fine. It came in a retail box with everything included, even the bag had the tamper proof seal ? When I get time to set it up I post back Got mine from Mwave.com okiepc

What software loads to you have on your Vista system?

AVG 7.5, Nero Ultra, Webshots, Adobe Reader 8, & Microsoft Works are what I have so far. I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit with 2 gig ram, I'm rather pleased with most aspects, runs quite fast actually. I will be adding programs & will post back okiepc

Is this a motherboard problem?

Thanks for the reply jadinolf, I thought about the power supply eventhough I had installed a new one as these little 100 watt jobs are just so under powered. I had a new 400 watt psu so I hooked it up, there was little noticeable improvement. Thanks for the reply, I will keep trying. okiepc

Is this a motherboard problem?

Have an HP6540C that has a problem. This computer will boot to Windows just fine when started cold, problem is if it is shut down and restarted after it is warmed up it will power up the board but not IDE drives such as hard drive or cd-rom. Now here is the strange thing, after restarting...
