Some of you take way too long on overclocking. It takes me less than 2 minutes. I just hit the auto overclock, once I get it, I turn it down 10mhz. It has always been stable whenever I do this. Never once crash on any game that I played.
That's just an assumption because you don't really know how much they actually pay for them. For the people that already got in the deal like me, we're already set.
Your cousin probably bought a returned item that Best Buy resealed and try to pass it as new. They do that a lot. One time, I returned a video card that had a distinct mark on the box. A couple of days later, I saw the same box resealed and sold as new.
That's not much of a problem for people who change video card every year or two. Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had a video card die on me. Maybe I don't go too extreme on overclocking and that why it lasts so long. I still have a Geforce2 that still works extremely well on one of my other...
This deal is good. It might be YMMV though because I've read that some can preorder and some can't. I was able to preorder 2 of these 6800 GT @ $279.99 each. I wanted 10, but they didn't know how many would come in so I was only able to get 2 of these. I have to say, this is an awesome deal...
