I just turned it on. It started at either 23 or 26 degrees celsius and went up to 44 now. When it was at 42 I opened the side of the case and it feels real cool in there... there's mad air circulating through the case and all....

Good advice (and also good advice from GamerX too). You may be able to get a 7600gt slightly cheaper and just as fast. the X1800GT is faster with settings like AA on due to 256-bit RAM but in plain speed settings the 7600gt is just as fast or faster at some games. Might be a little cheaper too...
I've actually had an old pentium 1 with bent pins. I got some needlenose pliers and carefully straightened them out to whe they looked straight. I had to keep tweaking for a while but I got it to the point where I stuck it in the board and never had any problems with it at all!

Norton Antivirus perhaps? That really is malware.... it will make a computer, especially an older one take days too boot and shut down..... and it's a horrible antivirus and they charge you for it.
