Hiya Anandtech,
I have an RT-AC68U in an upstairs closet that is the router and access point for our home network, most of which is wired via CAT6 directly to the closet. (It's behind an AT&T gigabit broadband modem, though that's not relevant here) We use the basic features on the AC68U - NAT...
I could possibly do 3x27 but not 3x30...that's just a bit much!
What makes you think matching up panels and resolutions will be more difficult in the future? Seems like 1600x1200 goes with the 30" you can get from Dell or HP. I was leaning toward that because it seemed like the "best of both...
Hi there,
I have what I appreciate is a subjective question but am hoping some of your anecdotal experiences will help me decide on a solution. The question is: 2 big monitors (27-30") or 3 smaller ones?
I do about 70/30 web development programming/gaming on my system. For the past several...
Well, I had D3 via Cablevision in NYC for 2 years (100 down/20 up) and was without service for about 1 hour that whole time. Point taken though. At this point I'm ready to try anything. :)
The modem I've been using (the one they gave me) is an SB5101, which is a Docsis2 modem.
The SB6120 (which isn't in the picture yet) is listed as backwards-compatible. What has that got to do with anything?
Hi there,
Problem with my Internet cable service is a little confusing. Here's the setup:
Service Electric cable Internet in the Lehigh Valley, PA, 7 megabits down and 2 up (not great, I know, but that's not the problem). Cable modem is a Surfboard 5101. Connected to an SMC SWCWGRB14-N...
Sounds good! I wasn't looking forward to buying all-new DDR3 RAM anyway, hopefully it'll be cheaper next year. Appreciate the input. :)
I am also building a machine for the fiancee -- a good middleweight and it'll inherit my GTX 260. Looks like AMD is the way to go for bang-for-your-buck if...
Hi there,
Planning to redo my desktop within the next couple of months and am trying to get a handle on the current picture for motherboards & CPUs. Currently have a Q9450 with 8 gigs of DDR2 RAM on a Gigabyte EP45-UD3p board and a GTX 260. Desktop is used for development and gaming - mostly...
Hi there,
In a bit of a pickle as I'm moving from NYC, where I have 100 Mbit down/20 up + 5 static IPs for $120/mo, to the Lehigh Valley in PA, where they want $200/mo for any static IP service at all and that's 12 down/2 up. The same service without the static IP is $55/mo and I'm trying to...
Thanks for the site. I think that has what I need (and Cablevision has the rest).
While my account is a business account, btw, the 100 megabit offering is not exclusive to business accounts - it's new as of about five or six months ago in the NYC market (and maybe Long Island as well). $99/mo...
