Stepping up to X800XL, will I be able to do 1600x1200 in FEAR?

I've been able to try this with both a 6800GT and an 800XL.. You should drop res on either and increase quality settings/physics. Seems much more satisfying than the benefit of never seeing a jagged edge.

Gotcha, Thanks for a solid response. So it's not apple itself, but the wacky 25x16 res. Of course, this prolly makes my buddy right. The lesser 23" panels, with 19x12 res, will run on normal V/C's :(

so wait.. you need an Apple V/C to use the Cinema Display? A Mac Lovin Friend of mine told me that was just PC propaganda. I'll never personally buy any Apple product, so I have to ask. Is that True?

Klipsch 5.1 Ultras... $297.46 before taxes

I'm a logitech guy, but I've seen these speakers in action. They are Vastly Superior to the GMX's. I think earlier posters were comparing them to the original promedia's, which were still much better than GMX's. These were about equivalent with the Logi 680's. As the 5500's should be...

Of course I can't find it now. But I saw an article which explained that the Jumbo Frame support is very important on Gb nets. I wonder if this is why you're only seeing 33% speed increase. I notice on Dell's Managed switches, they do offer that support.

74GB 10,000 RPM Raptors promo

Where I notice the biggest difference with a Raptor is in games. Lvl load times are SIGNIFICANTLY Shorter than with the 1200JB from WD I was using. I think it may shave a few seconds off boot times, but this is a drive for Gamers
