This seems like you are having a very strange problem. I'm not familiar with the Biostar boards; however, make sure that the voltages in the bios are what they are supposed to be i.e. (cpu, video card, memory). I'm not sure what the FSB should be on your processor, but make sure you are not...

How does this LCD perform?

Dell doesn't make monitors. They simply buy from someone else like (viewsonic, nec, or sony) and put their name on it. You may find it cheaper under one of those names!

Craziest Hardware Issue Ever

I had tested my ram with memtest also and it was fine. Went through all the tests really well. But when I bumped up the voltage, windows was running fine. I would get strange reboots for no reason. Well hopefully when you get it back it runs fine.

A good place to check out hard drive stats is www.storagereview.com They always compare the most recent stuff. I'm sure you could find those hard drives compared at some point. Good luck finding them.

If you had $500, what kind of CPU, mobo, and RAM would you get?

I would shell out a few extra bucks and get the ASUS A8V Deluxe (120), Athlon 64 939 90nm (284), and get 1 Gig of PDP systems memory 3200 (165), that puts you at 569 which is 70 dollars over. I think it would be well worth it.

HELP!!! Both IDE drives not reading discs!

if you have another computer available, try plugging the drives into it to see if they work. Use a different IDE cable.

Your system looks good. Have you considered getting the Raptors instead. I know they are not that big in size but performance I hear is awesome. You can always get a 200 GB serial for storage. Also you may want to find a motherboard that supports NCQ that is available on SATA 2 hard drives...

Well I don't know if you have tried increasing the voltage ont he RAM. try 2.7 volts and see if that will improve these errors that you're getting. That is the only thing that I assume you haven't tried. It seems like you have tried everything else. GOod luck trying that!

I don't think another gig is needed, however, if you plan on switching to windows 64, then I suggest getting the extra gig. A video card would be a better investment for now. I have a 9700 pro and I am already thinking about getting a better one. I get a score of 2000 on 3dmark05 which is not...

Sometimes the video cord can go bad. Try switching the VGA cord if possible. If not, try playing with the cord and see if that helps at all.

There is nothing wrong with the disk, but it was set in dynamic mode when you were on the other computer. So it needs to be part of the same dynamic setup that it was installed in. It will be difficult to get it set back to basic but you can do some reading and I'm sure you can find some...
