According to the manual, the R60's CPU is replacable.. I haven't opened it up to check though.

Is CPUIdle Extreme worth it?

Aren't there free programs that do the same thing? They have a trial version on their website anyway, so you can try before you buy :)

What do you mean detected as PnP? As in, it's removable? SATA drives are hot swappable.. although it's probably not a good idea to do it, especially not with your boot drive :)

DVD -> XVID question

Do the AVI files over 2Gb really work? I thought it was limited to 2Gb.. I've encoded a few films, and set the output size to 1.45Gb, so 3 films fit nicely on a DVD.. they've all looked really good so far.

What happens if I clear CMOS when running the computer?

I'm not sure it's even possible.. Usually you put a jumper in the right place and when you next turn it on, it clears it then. I don't think removing the battery would clear it either, while it's switched on.. You'd have to switch it off for a while. But hey, if you wanna try it.. :P I...

I'd recommend http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html .. it's kind of like an advanced Task Manager, and it might help you find what's using so much CPU.

Yep, flac is 100% as good quality as a wav rip, and usually 50%-60% of the size. Just copy the in_flac.dll you get with a flac 1.1.2 exe or zip file in to Winamp\Plugins, and you're away :) Another link for the download

Yes, iAudio U2 :) It uses an internal rechargeable battery (through USB only unless you buy an adaptor).. if you prefer a normal battery that you can replace, there is the iAudio 5 (1xAAA), or iAudio G3 (1xAA).

Another vote for Cowon's iAudio.. They seem to be one of the few where you don't need to use any extra software to put useable files on it. Plus they can use a big range of different audio formats, and have very good sound quality :)
