The Mustang 5.0 era started in 1979 with the Foxstang, unfortunately in 80 and 81 the 302 was replaced with the 255 :disgust:, the 302 returned in 1982 as the GT:cool:. The Cobra pak of 1979-81 looked pretty snazzy though, especially with those TRX wheels.:D 1979 Mustang Cobra 5.0 Out...

The 78-81 WS6 Trans Am recorded a higher skid pad figure, over 0.8g, and had a higher slalom speed than the smaller and lighter Mazda RX7 of the same age, the T/A also took the same number of feet to come to a stop from a set speed. So who says muscle cars are unsafe? WS6 cars had 4 wheel disc...

Buick GN was a hot car, I think Car & Driver got 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. Sensational in the mid to late 80s, and not bad today. That GM policy of having the Corvette as top performer really messed things up.:( Buick GSX I think someone mentioned this earlier? Not sure, but the Super Duty...
