Data recovery services - ever used one?

Actually if you don't want to spend the potential $1000+ for recovery, you can always try and work with the drive. Move it around, boot up, see if it's recognized. I've had a few that it just took some persistence and patience but it finally initializes and you have a good chance of being OK...

Corsair XMS vs. Dominator

So lower voltage is better than lower CAS latency? As far as being "sold" on 1600, I'm really not. I've always struggled to completely understand memory... the rest of a system I'm good with I just seem to never grasp what works best in terms of memory. :confused: Thanks for the reply...

Q9450 Overclocking Tips and OC Results

Thanks for the info... I also got the Micro Center deal for $300 on the OEM last month and finally picked up a Maximus Formula last week... Everything seems good so far since Monday w/Folding and Prime95 so I've been looking at some good info on overclocking. :)

Rebooting Issues

Final post for the night. I rebuilt, installed XPSP2, Mobo Drivers, ATI Drivers, 3DMark. First time it got to the 2nd test and rebooted, I disabled "Automatically restart" since I forgot at first. Ran it again and it got through 3 tests and rebooted. Again no blue screen, no event log...

Just cleared events, started 3DMark, rebooted on test 4, no event log errors. The Application Events show applications started after the reboot. The System Events show "The PciBus service was successfully sent a start control." I assume when I started 3DMark and then the next event is...

Actually missed that in previous post... I'm not showing anything on the event log that indicates errors, all I saw as where services started on start up. I did all the Windows XP updates after I built it so that's set, the folding@home I downloaded last night to let it run over night, so...

This is an odd issue... I have been humming along fine on a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum since it came out, no issues what-so-ever. I have a 3500, Audigy 2, ATI x800 Pro, 2 GB Crucial RAM, no o/c. I've not installed any new hardware (unfortunitely!!! heh) or even had the case opened for monthes...

AMD 64 3500+ 939 in stock anywhere?

I think there was something going on with zzf not updating status rather than a blatent attempt at not having something in stock. They actually did change status I just think they took forever to change it. ExtremeGear shows it in stock, and as I said, tells you that they have it like that...
