CPU fan / booting up problems

It is a 550w PSU. I don't have another PSU to try out at the moment. I should also add that another problem has popped up which is that the fan warning squeal keeps squawking at me. Just half a second long every few hours.

Sounds like you need a new card. However, on my old soyo board if my card got moved the slightest bit it would lose good connection and I would get the exact same thing as you are getting. I would try reseating the card and also try pressing very gently against the card and see if that affects...
