Silly question:
What are the anticipated core counts for Skylake-EP's LCC, MCC & HCC (XCC?) die?
I know Broadwell-EP appears to be sporting up to 10C, 15C and 24C on their respective die (though I don't think those all get used for yield purposes.
I would go for the 7770, but there's a better way.
Sit on deal forums for a few weeks. There will surely be some deals. For example, there were a bunch of $70 650 Ti (similar to 7770) deals bundled with free games like Far Cry 3 (before it was released) and others...
Shoot, that wouldn't been a sweet deal. I would've gotten one of those just for the monitor and CPU. Having a spare hard drive and some extra DDR2 isn't bad either.
