ATI card underscan on my TV (HDMI)

maybe the Maxtor HD bashers are on to something

It happened to me while I was building a new system. I always wondered if it was the hard drive or the seasonic PS. I replaced it with another maxtor and continued to use the same PS, no problems ever since.

well, typically do some music while surf the net, play a game here or there, watch TV with it, no heavy duty video editing or anything like that, maybe edit some photos, you know, the usual. :) I need those parts because the P4 2.4 died with the mb. thank you

There is no post. I can't tell if the mb is dead or the cpu is. I know the cpu does get a little warm when I start the system. I don't have another mb to test to see if the cpu is ok, and I don't have a second cpu to see if the mb is working. How can I figure it out? The power supply is...

Why do CPUs at negative temperatures perform better?

I am just guessing.... higher temp, more excitability, more friction, more heat, more energy lost, more noise, so more unstable. Is that right?

I can't, my wife just said No!! She has not used it in a while, waiting for the new system so she can completely retire that ancient machine. But she has stuff in it she does not want me to accidentally retire it just yet.

The system I am using to type this message is a p4 2.4 system, so I can't test most of the new parts. However I did try the old power supply on the new system and it did not get me anywhere either. The old power supply has only a 20 pin connector so maybe it is underpowered. On the other hand...
