Same price at the Fry's in Austin (Friday's ad). Regarding out of stock stuff, I can recall only one time that a sale item was out of stock -- it was a disk drive with no rebate, it was 3 days after the sale started and they gave me a raincheck. They had an even better deal the following week...
The Sony first-gen TIVOs, of which I have two, could be used in a degraded mode like VCRs if you didn't pay for the service. That is, you could program them by time and channel.
I don't believe the series-IIs will run that way, but am not 100% certain. TIVO certainly won't send the $50 rebate...
Hi Chris:
Thanks for the reply -- I'll try calling TIVO tonight from home.
A coworker just got a silver 140 hour TIVO direct from TIVO a few days ago (didn't want to hassle with upgrading the drives himself). I've asked him to check his software version #. My two original Sony TIVOs have...
It's $12.95/month or $6.95/month if it's a second through fifth unit at the same location. I have two Sony 1st-gen TIVOs with lifetime service and TIVO is charging me $6.95/month: I bought one of these 40hr refurbs two weeks ago at $79.95.
The new TIVO had a bad disk (frequently stuttered...
I signed up with a new address, got a newsletter and then some spam from Hormel (no joke--actually, it wasn't for SPAM but for something else--can't remember now)! Very odd -- this appears to be a small company, so why would Hormel be involved?
Anyway, the sample (in a oversized Taco-Bell...
Fry's (B&M) has the retail version of this drive for $99.95 after rebate, through today (7/1) only. I was just at the Austin store and saw a stack of them. Don't know if this extends to all Fry's nationwide.
> I've got all the "bought" dvd copiers and i use DVD shrink.
Same here. I own DVDXCopy Platinum. But the one thing it does that DVDShrink doesn't is allow a dual-layer disk to be split across two single-layer disks without any recompression. It tries to organize the "special features" on...
Does anyone know if the Dlink 108 Mbps Wireless G router can be used as a simple wireless access point? I already have a LinkSys cable router and I'd prefer to put the Dlink at the end of a wire from the LinkSys, in another room using it as a switched hub and wireless access point. The other...
I picked this up yesterday and found they have two versions. The regular one is $19.95, while the one on sale (bundled with Age of Empires-II, I believe) is $9.95. They are different SKUs and I almost bought the wrong one by accident.
