USB 2.0 working at 330Kbps?

Isnt USB 2.0 supposed to have speeds of 480 Mbps? I am downloading pictures from my camera and the speed it shows is 335 Kbps !!! It is so slow it is driving me nuts! (yes, everything is USB 2.0 - the PC, camera & the cable...) Whats wrong with this world?

PC wont read 2GB SD cards

My system does not recognize 2GB SD cards. I have a Koutech USB Card reader, which seems to read 1GB & 512MB SD cards fine, but not the 2GB one. Recently I tried reading my dad's 2GB card for the same result. I dont know if its a hardware problem of one more glitch in Vista 64-bit OS. Every time...

Awful DVD picture quality on Samsung 226BW

I couldnt try on big screen hdtv because I dont have one...:( Anyway.. I played about a dozen DVDs on the PC in Windows Media Center that I am starting to hate, a lot. I will try this ffdshow tonight. Or maybe even look for NVidia Purevideo on the NVidia driver CD that came with the vid card.
