Happy Birthday Quake!

Single player was a blast! It was the first real 3D shooter, not to mention one of the first game so for the original 3dfx voodoo 4meg. I enjoyed the whole game on my pentium 133 pc with voodoo 4meg.

What is your dream game that doesn't exist?

Another TIE FIGHTER game. Also I would like to see the original X-COM remade. System Shock 3 would be great too. A game like CASTLES or STRONGHOLD with a much stronger combat component. They are focused mostly on building, which is great, but then put those to the test with a real good...

What did you do Ray? No online for PC Ghostbusters, wth?

E8500 @ 4.0ghz 4GB ram ATI 4890 1GB @ 925/1075 HannsG 28" LCD Run max settings @ 1920x1200 and the frame rate stays right at 30fps. (the default 30fps sync is enabled)

What did you do Ray? No online for PC Ghostbusters, wth?

I pre-ordered from gamestop so I could get the free t-shirt. It did not install correctly from the DVD because I specified a different folder than the default installation folder. I searched on google and what happens is it copies most of the game to the folder you specify, but still copies...

Another option is to wait until the ATI 5000 series comes out and buy a used 4890 that someone is selling to upgrade.

Overclocking the 4890?

I used to keep my fan speed low, and then I switched to headphones. Now I can turn it up a little (usually around 60%) without it bothering me.

KOTOR vs. KOTOR 2

Yes I think the dark side story is better in KOTOR, and maybe the other way around for the second game. I enjoyed both games greatly. The ending in KOTOR1 is better, but KOTOR2 seems more polished. It is best to play the game twice, once for each side. I pick a different class each time...

I think it depends on if you live near the ocean or in Montana. :) I grew up in southern California about 5 minutes from the beach and they were common there.

Hanns 28" LCD- $300 - Costco

I have this monitor, bought from costco in January. I use it mostly for games and it is fantastic. Viewing angle is limited so you have to view it at the center for best results. I was a little hesitant after hearing some of the issues with color and viewing angles, but it turned out to be...

Does VGA cable limit bandwidth compared to DVI?

There is only a problem with VGA/Analog at real high resolutions where you need dual link DVI like 2560x1920.
