Building a new system

Is one case fan going to be enought to keep everything cool? I would recommend at least 2 sucking air in and 1 exhaust fan. Instead of the Samsung 17" LCD have you priced the Viewsonic VP171b 17" LCD? I just purchased one for my new system and its great. I has a 16 ms total pixel refresh...

P4 1.6 Northwood owner - advice please

I have the Asus P4B266-C motherboard. This is my first Asus motherboard, but it was easy to put the system together using it and it hasn't given me any trouble. Also, overclocking was simple, I just increased the FSB in the BIOS 5 or so MHz everyday until I got to 140 MHz. I haven't tried...

Asus P4B266-? difference?

In my opinion the Asus P4B266 is an excellent motherboard for over clocking. I'm using a P4B266-C to run my Intel 1.6A which is overclocked to 2.24 GHz using the Intel retail heatsink and fan. Some of the newer model motherboards such as the SIS chips support the new 533 MHz processors while...

Memory Settings on P4B266-C

Thanks for your help folks. I disabled USB (heard about this in a different forum) and raised the memory voltage up to 2.6 volts and it still won't load Windows. I must have gotten one of the few Crucial PC2100 RAM sticks that won't work at 3:4. I'll think about buying some different RAM...

Thanks for the information folks. I disabled the USB this morning, but it still won't load Windows XP with the memory set at 3:4. I raised the RAM voltage to 2.6 this afternoon, but it still hangs up trying to load Windows XP. I'll try 2.7 volts when I get back off vacation next week. It...
