Mysterious computer problem, any ideas?

CPU fan is running just fine and temps are still nice and low so I don't think fans are the issue. The PSU is a PC Power & Cooling 750W so if it's getting loaded down by the HDD's then that PSU has definitely gone wonky on me. I'll have to pick up a multimeter from work on monday to test...

Get your PSU at zipzoomfly. I'm pretty sure every PSU I've looked at is cheaper at zzf and includes free shipping. I would say either get Corsair 520 or 620. Definitely go for a better video card too, either a GTX or Ultra. Just get some cheaper RAM and drop one of the HDD's and that should...

DDR2 667 Quick Question

I'm ordering parts for a new rig in about a week and I just had a quick RAM question. CPU is gonna be a Q6600 that I won't OC at all so I'm assuming DDR2 667 would be fine for that, but if I were to upgrade the CPU in a year or so would I likely need to upgrade the RAM as well if I got DDR2...

Anyone know how to cause the red ring of death on Xbox360?

I agree with frankqfrank, wrap it in towels and let it run for a while or just block the exhaust. Something along those lines. I believe most problems come from overheating so this should get you a red ring in no time.

Best P35 System for non-overclocker

Alright cool, I did not know that it did. Go for an aftermarket CPU cooler if you want to quiet things down a bit. The thermalright ultra 120 can go without a fan I believe as long as you've got decent case ventilation. Pretty much any high end cooler will be very quiet though because it can...

Best P35 System for non-overclocker

30" monitors require dual-dvi to run at native resolution (at least all the ones I've seen), so unless you plan on using a much lower resolution, that GTX alone doesn't have what it takes to run two of them.

I guess I will get a new rig

Get a P35 mobo that supports DDR3 so you can upgrade to DDR3 in the future. Right now just get DDR2 memory though, DDR2 runs better on the P35 than DDR3 right now anyways and is much much much much less expensive

With newegg can't you do some preferred member thing where you don't have to pay anything for 6 months? Because if that's the case, why not buy it now and pay it later (I'm assuming the 5 month wait is for the $$ to come in)

haha, I wish I could score $10 million. Well, if there's absolutely no limit why not get yourself the 30" Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and run it off of 2x 8800 Ultras. Yes, I know the performance you get barely beats a much cheaper OC'ed GTX, but with no spending limit, why not?

So, I'm thinking about buying the 37" Westy

Yeah, that diagonal size reference was completely wrong, my b. But yeah, if you game/watch movies/xbox mostly on your monitor, go with the 37" westinghouse, but if you do work on it, two 20" monitors ftw.

I concur that SLI/CF is just idiotic in most cases, but if you can include a Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC in your ultimate gaming PC, then heck yes SLI/CF. Do you have no spending limit at all on this, or is it just an absurdly high spending limit?
