CounterStrike problem.

I've installed and patched Half-Life , then downloaded CS 1.1 and installed it (3 times), but when I try to enter "Training", I get this message: " Map Change failed: Tr_1 not found on server." Am I installing the wrong thing? Can someone furnish the link to the exact file...

Problem launching URLs in new window, IE 5.5

Thanks, Elledan, for pointing me in the right direction. If you select "Add/Remove" IE in the control panel, it gives you an option to repair instead of confirming removal. Worked like a charm. :) Once again, this forum helps me out of a real pain-in-the-ass.

Problem launching URLs in new window, IE 5.5

Hi, I'm using IE 5.5/Win 98, and lately I can't get links to open up in a window. When I click them, a new window opens up , but just sits there at that point, and I've got to copy the shortcut into my address bar. I've haven't changed anything since it worked. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Changing default viewer for .bmp's/.jpg's

This is basic, but my default viewer for .bmp's is MS MediaPlayer 7. I want it to be MS Paint. There's no option in the mediaplayer to uncheck. I'd also like to make Paint the default for all image files, including .jpg. Thanks, Jack

Is there such thing as a PPGA pentium2?

Based on the lackluster reviews of the Cel 800, it seems they're held back by more than the 66 fsb. I love my 500 @ 562,though.

Czar, My Asus fsb is set by jumpers,max 83. Is it technically possible for Asus to introduce a 100mhz fsb setting through a bios update?

A PPGA 533 with slotket is probably as good as you'll do. You may need to flash your bios to the latest. My Asus P2L97 lx board has 66/75/83 fsb , but the 83 really screws things up, so I've got my cel 500 running at 563 on the 75mhz fsb. I've read on the Asus forums,though, that the latest...

What is a Safe O/C for Voodoo 3000?

I've had my V3 2000 since April '99 and been running it at 180 since about then. I used some non-conductive thermal paste to mount another heatsink on top of the card,right above the chip. (Careful, you could short the card if you make contact). A Nidek blower cools both heatsinks by blowing...

Thanks for that info,Andy. I wasn't able to find a readme file on the beta bios files for the support specifics...does one exist? I'm assuming that I'd still be limited to the 66/75/83 bus speeds which are set by jumpers. In which case,having no 100fsb, a P3 would be limited to 66/75/83 X...
